The OnePlus 13 introduces a refined design, moving away from the bold camera module of its predecessor to a simpler, less protruding island. This minimalist approach gives the device a clean, modern look. A significant upgrade is the inclusion of IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, a leap from the OnePlus 12's IP65 rating. The screen features a flatter panel with slightly curved edges, providing a more stable viewing experience. The display is BOE's X2 OLED with 8T LTPO technology, offering QHD resolution and a peak brightness of up to 4500 nits. The 6.82-inch display is slightly shorter but wider, and it now includes a more secure ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the screen, enhancing security and convenience.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 13 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, fabricated on TSMC’s 3nm process. This processor delivers a 45% boost in CPU performance and a 44% improvement in efficiency, thanks to new Oryon prime and performance cores. The Adreno 830 GPU provides up to 40% better performance, making the OnePlus 13 a formidable gaming device. To enhance the gaming experience, the phone includes a new, larger gaming vibration motor, which is touted as the biggest in any Android phone. Memory configurations start at 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, with options up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage. The OnePlus 13 runs on ColorOS 15 in China, with the global variant expected to feature OxygenOS on Android 15.

The OnePlus 13 maintains a harmonious rear camera setup with a primary, ultrawide, and telephoto configuration. All three sensors are optimized by Hasselblad, ensuring high-quality imaging. The main camera is Sony’s LYT 808 with OIS, the 3x periscope is the LYT 600 (also with OIS), and the ultrawide is Samsung’s JN5 sensor. The front-facing 32MP camera carries over from the OnePlus 12, featuring a 1/2.74” sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The device also introduces a Silicon Carbide battery, allowing for a larger 6000mAh cell in a similar footprint. This results in an 11% increase in battery capacity compared to the OnePlus 12. Despite the larger battery, charging speeds remain impressive, with 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The phone can reach 50% in just 13 minutes and 100% in 36 minutes.
