Design

The Redmi Buds 6 Play's design is quite similar to that of the Redmi Buds 6 Lite, however it has a matte finish and a pronounced short stem. They have an in-ear fit design and a bean-shaped construction. With an IPX4 rating, these earbuds provide dependable defense against water splashes. With a weight of 4.2 grams each, these earbuds are a little heavier than the Redmi Buds 6 Active, but their portability will not be compromised. The charging case has a modest external light indicator and a stylish, curved shape.

Audio

In terms of sound, the Redmi Buds 6 Play have 10mm dynamic drivers installed. Their AI-powered noise reduction technology guarantees crystal-clear audio when on the phone. Furthermore, the earbuds have five different EQ modes: Standard, Enhanced Bass, Enhanced Voice, Enhanced Treble, and Enhanced Volume. These modes are intended to differentiate between background noise and human speech, thereby reducing ambient noise even in noisy settings.

Features and Battery

The Buds 6 Play are compatible with Bluetooth 5.4, which guarantees effective wireless connectivity by supporting HFP, A2DP, AVRCP, and low-energy profiles. Though it's currently only available on Android devices, they have a one-tap Bluetooth pairing functionality.

The battery life of the charging case is 600mAh, while the earbuds each have a 57mAh battery. A single charge of the buds may last up to 7.5 hours, and with the charging case, that amount of time increases to 36 hours. They are also excellent for on-the-go use because a short 10-minute charge is enough to play for about an hour.
